The Role:
Provides development support for the maintenance of existing training courses. Updates and conducts safety training programs for Field Operations, including Construction, Customer Field Services, System Operations and/or other field operations workgroups, along with Transportation, Telecom and Operations Support Services employees. May provide training for contractors. Develops new training with a SME and supervision. Assesses work methods and conducts training to enhance and maintain worker safety, and improve productivity. Act as the department’s primary system administrator for the learning management system.

Day to Day:
Develops and maintains training curriculum. Designs and/or maintains training materials, including course overviews, outlines, trainer’s guides, and other training materials (e.g., print materials, electronic materials, props, tools, supplies, and computer-based training).
Uses familiarity with knowledge management techniques to support file migration to SharePoint or other repositories
Follows shared standards when creating training materials, using established instructional theories and design principles. Ensures consistency between all training materials and company policies/standards.
Analyzes the effectiveness of training through written and performance assessments including job performance and other post-training assessments. Identifies areas for improvement and resolves issues by updating and improving training materials.
Researches advances in training technologies and stays abreast of learning platforms. Researches and/or identifies audience appropriate delivery approaches, training methodologies, and technologies. Develops training materials to optimize the use of technology.
Publishes and archives online or blended learning solutions, assigns training curricula, and adds and deletes resources.
Runs reports as requested showing learner completion, percent compliance with mandatory training requirements, other reports as requested.
Populates course information and assigns learners.
Creates and manages the overall course structure and sets up course programs based on specifications from the instructional designer or SME.
Manages tracking of course revisions and history.
Builds online assessments and evaluations in LMS (currently SAP-SuccessFactors) for courses using appropriate software (currently QuestionMark, SAP-EnableNow).
Travels in territory to conduct training as needed.
Supports Company’s commitment to a culture of safe work practices.

Come on your first day with:
3+ years’ experience in adult education with a focus on safety and compliance preferred.
Prior experience (2+ years) with Learning Management Systems and related online course development software desired.
Ability to provide trainings and presentations to employees, leadership team, and others.
Must have strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to train employees and discuss difficult topics with tact, honesty and confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cohesively and collaboratively with others (diplomatic).
Strong problem resolution skills.
Deadline driven with excellent organizational skills.
Advanced computer skills with proficiency and working knowledge in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as SharePoint.
Able to utilize latitude given within job parameters to make independent decisions.
Capability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
Candidates must be comfortable with a fast paced, opportunity filled work environment.
Self-starter with ability to take initiative and be an independent thinker.
Maintain work by effectively using problem solving skills.
Ability to define processes and document procedures as well as initiate tasks related to job requirements.
A quick learner with solid work habits who works well under pressure and strict deadlines, with constant re-prioritization of duties.
Ability to manage multiple projects, establish priorities, and accomplish goals and objectives.
Analytical and diagnostic skills; ability to collect, interpret and summarize data.
Possess and maintain a valid OR/WA driver's license, any required certifications and/or endorsements and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
Ability to physically access field work sites and locations as necessary.
Subject to random drug testing.

Base salary range: $65,600.00 – $90,800.00 per year, depending on qualifications
