Your New Role:

A rare opportunity has opened at one of Oregon’s premier law firms, which has dominated the litigation world for over 40 years. As their Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for content creation, and oversee all owned, earned, and paid media. We’re looking for a great writer, and a good all-arounder – someone who can manage public relations and SEO, update the website and assist with company-wide events and sponsorships (when these are back on the calendar). Prior experience in marketing for a law firm is ideal. A self-sufficient problem solver with an ability to work independently would do well in this role.

We’re seeking a professional Marketing Manager with an ability to create content that reflects the focus and expertise of the firm (class action, business litigation, antitrust etc.). You will need to be a strong communicator as you develop proposals and get buy-in from stakeholders. Your experience with content creation, website maintenance, and public relations will help elevate and maintain this firm’s brand reputation.


  • Develop deep understanding of the firms practice areas to generate compelling written content, promoting the firm through press releases, social media, website copy, award submissions, internal communications, and video scripts
  • Draft marketing proposals, branding projects, advertisements, internal announcements
  • Prepare and submit annual submissions for awards and honors
  • Guide the development of new or alternative marketing strategies
  • Assist attorneys in identifying new marketing opportunities, including speaking events, authoring articles, or community involvement
  • Secure media coverage for individual attorneys and the firm for press and trade publications
  • Prepare marketing budget and track expenditures
  • Design and manage print and digital advertising
  • Manage firm’s photography inventory and schedule periodic photoshoots
  • Collaborate with attorneys on strategies for new client relationships
  • Oversee all social media plans and content
  • Update website consistent with firm’s branding, in collaboration with the firm’s web developer
  • Manage design projects, copy, and SEO for website and blogs
  • Provide analytics for all online platforms and develop strategies for improving viewership
  • Manage internal and external marketing and social events
  • Identify and provide all relevant copy and imagery for firm sponsorships and advertising
  • Keep contact database current and updated

What Matters Most:

  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing/PR/communications experience in a professional services setting
  • Excellent writing, spelling, grammar, and proofreading abilities
  • An interest and enthusiasm for learning the firm’s specialty areas
  • Experience with social media, web management, PR, and event coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and the ability to learn new software programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field
